With the weekend approaching it’s the perfect time to seek out new books to read, so I’ve created a Friday Book Share game to help search for that ideal read.
Anyone can have a go – all you need to do is answer the following questions based on a book you are currently reading/finished reading this week and use the hashtag #FridayBookShare
First line of the book.
Recruit fans by adding the book blurb.
Introduce the main character using only three words.
Delightful design (add the cover image of the book).
Audience appeal (who would enjoy reading this book?)
Your favourite line/scene.
Here’s mine:
I’m 45% through Witch Hunter by Virginia Boecker
First line – I stand at the edge of the crowded square, watching the executioners light the pyres.
Recruit fans by adding the book blurb –
Elizabeth Grey may look harmless, but don’t let that fool you. She can take out five necromancers with a single sword and slay a wizard at fifty paces.
But when she’s found carrying witch’s herbs, she’s thrown into jail with no chance of escape. Only magic, which she’s fought against all her life, can save her…
Now, with Elizabeth’s chances of survival in the very hands of those she has been trained to fight, she faces an impossible choice.
Magic or murder?
Introduce the main character – Elizabeth is feisty, funny, and deadly
Delightful Design –

Audience appeal – Perfect for YA fans who read Sarah J.Maas and Holly Black
Your favourite line/scene – (Great drunken scene – we’ve all been there!)
‘We’re just going to help you back to the palace and have a little chat on the way,’ the boy says. ‘If you don’t mind.’
‘Pinwheels,’ I reply, stumbling on a rock.
‘That so?’ He steadies me. ‘I don’t see any, but I’ll take your word for it.’
‘No, your eyes. They spin like pinwheels. What’s your name again?’
‘George.’
‘Funny. That other man is a George, too. Peter George – whoops.’ I trip over the hem of my cloak and tumble to the ground.
‘No, he’s just Peter. I’m George. Here, let me help you up.’ He pulls me to my feet and I notice we’ve the same height.
‘You’re awfully short,’ I say.
‘Short? Not me! Maybe you’re the short one. Ever think about that?’
I consider it. ‘My God, you’re right. You must be very clever.’
If you want to join in then answer the F.R.I.D.A.Y questions and use the Friday Favourite meme. Tag me in so I can read what you have added too. Enjoy x
Great idea for a Friday. Short, simple and effective 🙂 I’ll check it out and join in asap. Have a great weekend💖

Ooh, this is a cool idea! I’m reading 4 books at the same time atm (I know, madness!), so that makes this easier/harder to do 😉

I marked it on my calendar to participate in this next Friday! How are you liking this book? Thought about buying it, but have seen conflicting reviews.

I’m really enjoying it so far. Easy to read, nice characters and decent pace. I’ll review when I’m done but so far so good.
