Audience appeal (who would enjoy reading this book?)

Your favourite line/scene.

Here’s mine:

I read a wonderful post by one of my favourite bloggers recently – The Magical Experience of Reading a Great Self Help Book by Lucy, at BlondeWritesMore. She mentioned a book called Miracle Morning by Hal Elrod (as well as mentioning my book, ahem, proud moment!). I popped over to look at Hal’s amazon page and found another title that appealed – The Miracle Morning for Writers. Never one to pass up an opportunity to read about writing I grabbed a copy.

First line

How you start each morning determines your mindset, and the context, for the rest of your day. Start every day with a purposeful, disciplined, growth-infused, and goal-oriented morning, and you’re virtually guaranteed to crush your day.

Recruit fans by adding the book blurb

Need to find more time to write–without sacrificing the important things? Looking to consistently discover great book ideas? Wish you could generate a steady income from your words…or increase what you already make?

The solution to these questions is to change what you do first thing in the morning. And that’s why you should read The Miracle Morning for Writers: How to Build a Writing Ritual That Increases Your Impact and Income (Before 8AM). The Miracle Morning for Writers combines Hal Elrod’s global phenomenon with Steve Scott’s proven writing habit techniques (which helped him get on the Wall Street Journal bestsellers list). You learn how to take charge of your morning and maximize “the rest of the day” for your writing efforts.

Here’s what you’ll discover in The Miracle Morning for Writers:

  • How a morning routine can change every area of your life (Including your health, happiness, finances and relationships).
  • The proven strategy for “finding the time” to write–even if you have a full-time job.
  • Our method for selling lots of books (and the 8-step process to build it).
  • Steve’s favorite app for tracking your great ideas and researching your next book.
  • Hal’s process for overcoming the limiting beliefs that hold you back from success.
  • “Flow state” and how it can forever eradicate writer’s block.

You will also learn:

  • 4 business models perfect for writers, how to get started, and which one we recommend.
  • The 10-step process for publishing a book that readers love.
  • 6 tools for improving your writing skills.
  • 2 techniques for doubling (even tripling) your daily word count total.
  • How to find the “80/20” of your book-based business.

The Miracle Morning for Writers is your key to building a writing habit that will increase both your income and the value you provide to the world

Introduce the main characterAs this book is non-fiction, I guess the MC would be ‘me’ as I’m the writer! Oh blimey – three words to describe myself would have to be: Bubbly. Organised. Tall! 🙂

Delightful Design

A is for Affirmations

Have you ever wondered why some people are more successful than others? Time and time again, I notice that mindset is a driving factor in performance.

Those around you can sense your mindset. It shows up undeniably in your language, your confidence, and your demeanor.

I know firsthand, though, how difficult it can be for writers to maintain confidence and enthusiasm – not to mention motivation – during the rollercoaster ride of publishing content.

The section goes on to include 4 steps to create affirmations that improve your writing business – it’s good stuff!

    1. That’s why I added it to the Friday Book Share – so many transferable skills that have nothing to do with writing. It’s a lovely book full of our kind of motivational tools. 🙂

  1. I’ve heard loads about this. Thing is I am NOT a morning person. Never have been. With a toddler to get ready every morning and starting work at 8 I am not sure there’s much more I can realistically fit in. I can’t get up earlier as I’d drop under 6 hours of sleep. BUT I agree with the principle everyone talks of in this book. I’m curious what app he’s talking about too.

    1. I can understand that. As my three are much older I find myself the only one awake in the house at stupid o’clock – I do find the affirmations and other tools in this book very helpful and I think they could be transferred for an evening writer perhaps – turn it on its head to get what you want from it. 🙂

  2. Fabulous recommendation! I’ve read the Miracle Morning for Network Marketers! Although I read it I didn’t follow through because my mind wasn’t in it .. I might grab myself a copy of this one and become inspired!
