I was delighted when my blogging pal, Claire from Brizzlelass Books nominated me for this award. I’ve been nominated before but I loved Claire’s questions so couldn’t resist having another go! Please take a moment to visit Brizzlelass Books as Claire’s blog is brilliant!

What is the Sunshine Blogger Award?

The Sunshine Blogger Award is given to those who are creative, positive and inspiring, while spreading sunshine to the blogging community.

How Does It Work

With the rules out of the way we can get down to the fun bit. Here are the questions Claire set for me:

You can live anywhere in the world, where do you choose?

As much as I would love to live near a sun drenched beach in Spain, or set up home in America, my heart will always belong in England, so I would happily choose to live in Cornwall.

What are you reading right now?

I’m half way through Miranda Sawyers, Out of Time. A brilliant book about midlife.

What was the last live music show you went to?

A couple of weeks ago I went to Solihull Summer Fest which is a music festival held in my home town to raise money for Help Harry Help Others. It’s the second year of the festival and I hope it runs for many more years to come. There was a real mix of artists on stage such as Lemar, Musical Youth, Gabrielle, and Peter Andre, but the one act that stole the show for me was Lulu. She was brilliant!

If you weren’t a book blogger, what would you blog about?

I already write two blogs; one is this author/book blog and the other is my personal development blog (Motivate Me), but if I didn’t write these then I’d love to write a travel blog – as long as I also got to do the travel bit so I had something to write about!

What is top of your bucket list?

To own a VW Campervan!

What is your autobiography called?

Oh, this could be fun! First title that sprung to mind was ‘Whatever!’ Apparently this is something I always say (according to my kids!).

After my illness a few years ago, which ended up with me having to close my therapy business, my dad suggested I write a sequel to my memoir ‘How I Changed My Life in a Year’ and call it ‘How I Changed My Life Back Again!’ 😉

What’s your favourite season?

I love the autumn for so many reasons. For me it represents new beginnings. Everything begins to die off and hibernate ready to renew, and the colours of the trees as the leaves turn are glorious.

Don’t even get me started on all the stationery that’s available in the shops this time of year. I’m also a huge fan of Halloween and dress my house up with loads of ghosts and ghouls.

Coffee or tea?

Tea if I’m at home, latte if I’m out and about (don’t know why I do that?)

Chocolate or wine?

I’ve been tee-total for nearly four years so it’s going to be chocolate, however, even when I was knocking back the vino I would still choose chocolate!

Walk or cycle?

Walk! My dad’s a cyclist and goes out on seventy-mile runs with his club three times a week. I can’t imagine anything worse! My bum hurts just thinking about being in the saddle for that long!

Finally, your favourite book this year?

I’m going to cheat slightly and pick one fiction and one non-fiction for this answer.

Fiction: Tipping Point by Terry Tyler. It’s the first in a post-apocalyptic series and was utterly brilliant. You can read my review HERE.

Non-fiction: Junkie Buddha by Diane Esguerra. This is a travel memoir about the author’s trip to scatter her son’s aches at Machu Picchu. Beautiful book. Read my review HERE.
