Film Review: Avengers: Infinity War – 5*

Infinity War Film ReviewMarvel’s Avengers: Infinity War is one of those films where the reviews will (hopefully) be cloaked in hints and speculation but contain no spoilers. A true Marvel fan will understand how it’s imperative to keep the plot twists close to your heart until fellow fans have had time to watch and process.

I’m still processing all the emotions – ALL the emotions that Infinity War has left me. It’s been a ten year and nineteen film journey, and as we conclude I can confirm that it’s been one hell of a ride!

EPIC. That’s the word that sprang to mind as the credits rolled, that and a million other expletives that I can’t reveal. My fellow cinema goers joined me in the laugh out loud moments, the OMGs, and the gasps. I wanted to leap from my chair and cheer every time a favourite character arrived on the screen. The way the writers integrated everyone’s stories together was pure genius. I’m a huge Guardians of the Galaxy fan, and the scenes with Thor and the Guardians were among my favourites.

The special effects were amazing, and the storyline as complex and breath taking as you’d expect from a Marvel film.

I would urge everyone to see this film. Marvel fan or not it is a couple of hours of action-packed, amusing, and heart breaking entertainment.

Need to catch up on your Marvel superheroes? Here are the films in order of production:

Have you seen it yet? I might need to start a closed Facebook group so we can all discuss it without spoiling it for everyone else! 😉

  1. This is an excellent review that encapsulates the sheer overwhelming nature of Infinity War, not only from the vantage point of it being a culmination but the emotions fans are left with afterwards.

I admired Infinity War for being the sole Marvel movie that seemed to look at death and considered its many implications.

    1. I enjoyed the movie a lot, and for those who didn’t like the ending because the stakes weren’t real, should we criticizing the endings of “Wrath of Khan” and “Empire Strikes Back” for the same reason?

  2. Love this post, thank you for sharing! I loved Avengers:IW was so much, its such a great movie! I got the insane opportunity to go to the World Premiere on the 23rd. I was just in front of Tom Holland during the screening at the Dolby Theater, he was with his brothers and they were all so sweet! I got to talk to members of the cast and they were all incredibly nice! I wrote two posts on my blog about it (one about the premiere and another one about after party) if you’d like to check it out!
