Author Interview with @janeyleegrace Happy Healthy Sober #Sobriety #happyhealthysober

With my background in holistic health, today’s guest is someone I’ve followed for many years. Having the opportunity to share her latest book and interview was a no-brainer!

I’m delighted to welcome an inspirational lady and fellow member of the sobriety club, Janey Lee Grace.

About the Author

Janey Lee Grace is best known for Steve Wright in the Afternoon – The Big Show on BBC Radio 2, and having a top ten hit record in the 90’s with Cola Boy, as well as touring the world as a backing singer with many stars including George Michael and Wham, Kim Wilde, and Boy George.

She is also an Amazon Number One best-selling author of Imperfectly Natural Woman and runs the hugely successful health and wellbeing website imperfectlynatural.com and has been voted Number One in ‘Who’s Who’ in Natural Beauty Industry yearbook for three consecutive years.

Janey’s most recent TV appearances were on Good Morning Britain and Celebrity Antiques Road Trip, and has made regular contributions on many shows including The Wright Stuff, BBC Breakfast and Sky TV Entertainment news.

Tell us a little about yourself. (How did you get started writing? What do you do when you’re not writing?)

I wrote my first book in 2005, before that I hadn’t ever written, but I was passionate about holistic living. Now I write books, articles, blogs, I’m always writing! When I am not, I am a radio presenter and coach, I am trained in EFT and NLP and help people who want to focus on living their best life without alcohol, focusing on health and wellbeing and selfcare.

Is this your first book? How many books have you written prior (if any?)

I’ve written 5 books, this is my sixth

What genre is it, and what is it about?

It’s a lifestyle / health and wellbeing book

Happy Healthy Sober, ditch the booze and take control of your life, aimed at those who want to question or look again at their relationship with alcohol, and focus on optimum health and wellbeing

What or who inspired you to write this book?

I ditched the booze over three years ago and life is just SO much better. I host a podcast Alcohol Free Life and run The Sober Club for people who want connection and inspiration and support

What writing advice do you have for other aspiring authors?

Get really clear on your ‘message’ or your ‘story’ and who you are writing for.

What do you enjoy most about writing and why?

Being able to make a difference, and inspire people to change.

List two interesting facts about yourself

I was a backing singer with Wham!

I had a number 8 hit record (Cola Boy, 7 Ways to love)

What is your least favourite part of the publishing/writing process?

I don’t especially enjoy the edit, it can be quite challenging but necessary of course.

What can readers who enjoy your book do to help make it successful?

I’d very much appreciate a review on Amazon! A pic of you with the book on social would be amazing too!

What is your next project?

I’m busy creating great content for The Sober Club and planning another online course.

Book Blurb

Happy Healthy Sober will inspire you to look at your relationship with alcohol and encourage you to ditch the booze to live your best life.

Have you woken up at 3 a.m. berating yourself for drinking too much?

Have you tried ditching the booze without success?

The first 30 days of sobriety are the most difficult. This book will help you stay on track. Janey Lee Grace, presenter and wellbeing expert explains the power of choosing to be free from alcohol. This book will resonate with people who are not at rock bottom but want to be as healthy and happy as possible, they just don t realise they were grey area drinkers and that life is so much better without the booze!

Much of Janey’s life and career has been with the mission of improving people’s health simply by making the right choices. Choices that are sometimes hidden from us by the rip rig and panic of 21st century life. For many people, quitting the alcohol habit is the missing piece of their holistic health jigsaw and could be a new chapter in their path to being happy, healthy and sober.

The thirty day challenge supports the reader through the initial phase of sobriety, and then gives extensive tips on all aspects of holistic wellbeing, from nutrition, fitness, mindset, spirituality and self-care.

  1. Love this post! A friend and I were just saying the other day that we would look and feel so much better (and weigh much less) if we just put down the red wine, lol! Great timing, I will be checking this out 🙂
