I’m thrilled to share the exciting news that my romance novel, Floating Solo, is set to release this November! It’s an enemies-to-lovers and small-town romance wrapped in the cosy setting of a narrowboat in the heart of Warwickshire.

Meet Kat Sinclair, a budding entrepreneur who dreams of growing her quirky solo narrowboat holiday enterprise. Unfortunately, rejection has been her constant companion—until a Hollywood film crew gets in touch. With the potential to change not just her business but her entire future, Kat is plunged into a world of opportunity, adventure, and maybe even a shot at love. But when the sparks fly between her and the frustratingly handsome actor, it seems she’s in for a lot more than she bargained for. With her business, her dreams, and her heart on the line, will Kat find her confidence and take a chance on love?

This story has been coming for a long time, and I’m thrilled to finally share it with you! Although I typically write YA fantasy and supernatural stories filled with blood, gore, sword fights, and a healthy dose of magic, I have a confession: I love romantic comedies and Hallmark Christmas movies. There’s something about the warmth, the humour, and the inevitable happy ending that I find irresistible.

Floating Solo has been brewing in my mind for years. Kat and her crew have been whispering in my ear, their stories growing louder until I couldn’t ignore them anymore. I wanted to create a heroine who wasn’t afraid to take on a new adventure, even if it meant stepping far outside her comfort zone, which is precisely how I felt writing a romance! Kat’s journey is one of growth, courage, and finding love in the most unexpected places.

Even though this book marks a new direction for me as an author, I promise it’s not goodbye to my beloved supernatural worlds. After Floating Solo launches, I’ll be diving straight back into my action-packed stories—so keep an eye out for another Viking novel coming soon!
