With the weekend approaching it’s the perfect time to seek out new books to read, so I’ve created a Friday Book Share game to help search for that ideal novel.
Anyone can have a go – all you need to do is answer the following questions based on a book you are currently reading/finished reading this week and use the hashtag #FridayBookShare
First line of the book.
Recruit fans by adding the book blurb.
Introduce the main character using only three words.
Delightful design (add the cover image of the book).
Audience appeal (who would enjoy reading this book?)
Your favourite line/scene.
Here’s mine:
I’m half way through Wings of Mayhem by Sue Coletta and don’t want to put it down!
First line – It didn’t surprise him that she screamed and begged for her life, even though it was pointless.
Recruit fans by adding the book blurb –
A SERIAL KILLER STALKS THE STREETS…
Shawnee Daniels – computer forensics specialist/hacker for RPD by day, cat burglar by night – always believed her “fearlessness rules” mantra would keep her on top and out of jail. When she hacks a confiscated hard drive at the Revere P.D., she focuses on a white-collar criminal accused of embezzlement. To teach him a lesson and recoup the funds she breaks into his massive contemporary in Bear Clave Estates. Jack has even more secrets, deadly secrets, secrets worth killing over.
A CAT BURGLAR PICKS THE WRONG HOUSE TO ROB…
Shawnee thinks she made it out clean until a deadly package arrives at her door soon after. He’s found her. As a glowing eagle taunts her Skype screen, Jack tells her she stole his precious trophy box — and he wants it back!
THEIR LIVES COLLIDE…
When her “helpful” best friend convinces her to date charismatic Detective Levaughn Samuels, her two worlds threaten to implode. Ordinarily Shawnee keeps a firm line between her professions, but dating Levaughn might help her get this psycho off her tail.
AND NOW, NO ONE IS SAFE…
Introduce the main character – Shawnee is spirited, brave, and ambitious.
Delightful Design –

Audience appeal – Perfect for fans of Rachel Abbott or Lisa Jackson.
Your favourite line/scene –
I pressed my back against the duct wall, sweat dripping profusely down my face. Nadine had both hands over her mouth, her head shaking ever so slightly.
Penny’s copper eyes narrowed on the vent. “I don’t see anything.”
Mancini shook his fist in the air, his face bloomed with frustration. “I’m telling you, they were right there.”
This is definitely on my list 🙂

Sounds fabulous. Just downloaded a sample so I don’t forget to buy it when my TBR list allows!

Thank you! What a great idea. I hear you about the TBR list. So many books, so little time. 🙂

This looks like a fun game to play, Shelley. Shame I picked it up on Monday! You planning to do this every Friday?

I’ve put it in my diary as a recurring item for Fridays – though I may not manage it every Friday.
