Johnny Depp is one of Hollywood’s biggest stars, and one of cinema’s best-loved characters. From Edward Scissorhands – the role that catapulted him to stardom in 1990 – to his hugely acclaimed performances as Captain Jack Sparrow in the Pirates of the Caribbean series, and his incredible turn as the Mad Hatter in Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland, his quirky style and good looks have endeared him to millions of film fans worldwide.

In this in-depth biography, Nigel Goodall traces the story of Johnny Depp’s rise to fame from teen TV drama 21 Jump Street to the amazing variety of film roles that have cemented his place on the Hollywood A list. With a host of awards and nominations to his name, Johnny Depp truly as carved his own unique niche in cinema. This is the story of his incredible career, and the wild and wonderful range of characters he has brought to life along the way.

  2. This is so weird, I’ve just seen a great movie clip with Johnny used as a fun share about rushing off when you’ve forgotten your cooking and can smell burning – it sums me up at times!

Johnny Deep is not only a handsome man, but… really a talented and ecclectic actor… I used to have a crush on him when I was at High School, long time ago 😀 thanks for sharing… have a great weekend, Shelley!. Aquileana 🙂
