Yesterday, I blogged about the Big Blue Takeover that will be taking place on my blog between 15th August and 1st September, you can read that post HERE. Today, as promised, I am delighted to introduce you to my body double for the next few weeks, Nikki Radvanyi.
Nikki will be maintaining my blog and checking that all the guest posts and author interviews go out as scheduled. She will also be chatting to anyone who leaves a comment on any of the posts and interacting with you all on social media during my absence.
Nikki and I have been friends for many years. She is hugely supportive, loads of fun, and incredibly inspirational. The only blot on our horizon is the fact that I’m a vampire fan and she prefers the delights of Downton Abbey! I’m willing to let it slide, however, as she did buy me my favourite vampire mug 🙂
I thought it would be fun to introduce you to Nikki so you can put a face behind the ‘voice’ on Twitter, Facebook, and my blog.
Over to Nikki…
What part of the world do you come from?
I’m a West Midlander. I grew up in Edgbaston – famous for the cricket ground, then headed to Staffordshire (quite a bit of pottery was purchased from ’90-’94; Mum is certainly not short of teapots or crockery) & then Manchester for Uni – I timed it before they pulled the Hacienda down so managed to throw a few shapes on that famous dance floor, & I have finally settled in the lovely suburb of Solihull.
What did you want to be when you grew up?
A dancer. The only dancing I do now is in my kitchen or at weddings/birthdays/christenings
List three words to describe yourself.
Chatty, focused, organised
Who would play you in a film about your life?
Blimey! I would have said Victoria Wood, but I’ll have to go with Julie Walters.
What’s your favourite snack food when writing?
Watermelon or gluten free oatcakes
If you had a super power, what would it be?
Oooooh invisibility. I’m naturally nosey!
Tell us about you and your business.
I started in business in 2012 as a concierge service, but after some analysis, it became apparent that the corporate support service I offered was the income generator & the area I enjoyed most so I rebranded & relaunched in Sept 2014 & Nikki Radvanyi Business & Marketing Support was born. It is going through a slight reincarnation again to reflect the fact that my client base is niche. I now work with former CEOs, who now work as Non-Executive Directors on a number of Boards, Chairmen & companies requiring an independent scribe or Board-level minute taker. Life is never boring. No two days are the same & that’s what I love!
What do you like doing in your spare time?
I do a couple of Aqua classes a week, meet friends for coffee/cocktails/food & I relax best with a book in my hand. It is a ritual to read before bed. It is my form of meditation!
How would a Virtual Assistant benefit an author?
Executive Assistants, Personal Assistants & Virtual Assistants act as gatekeepers for their clients. Supporting them in a number of levels from filtering calls, liaising with stakeholders, extensive diary & email management. Depending on the background of your EA/PA/VA, they may also help with social media campaigns
Tell us a fun fact about you/your business.
I was on Tiswas. Are you old enough to remember that programme? Oh yes! Mum made me wear a yellow tie with TISWAS sewn vertically down the middle. Mortifying, especially as they sandwiched me between Chris Tarrant & Sally James.
How can we find out more about you and your services?
You can also find me on #Solihullhour on Twitter, Tuesdays between 7pm & 8pm. It’s a business community, of which I am a team member. We currently have 8,811 followers and counting. A great way to promote your business & to meet other business owners/potential readers.
Huge thanks to Nikki for joining me today and for keeping my social media and blog afloat while I’m on holiday (sorry, another bad cruise related pun!). Be sure to swing by and say hello to Nikki and my other guests over the next couple of weeks.
