Here’s mine:
I’m feeling slightly frustrated that my TBR pile is getting longer and I can’t seem to catch up! I’ve wanted to start Maggie Stiefvater’s The Raven Boys series for ages but the first book remains wedged between Philippa Gregory and Alison Goodman! So, I thought I’d reminisce about the first Stiefvater book I ever read instead – Shiver.
First line – I remember lying in the snow, a small red spot of warm going cold, surrounded by wolves.

She was past present future. I wanted to answer, but I was broken.

wow, I don’t read this genre but I really like the sound of this one. I can see it as a movie that I would watch. I like the human-wold relationship dynamic. This sounds pretty awesome. Ill try get the book. Great post!

Thanks, Diana. YA urban fantasy is a fantastic genre – don’t think that because it’s YA it’s just for kids! I love it and I’m an oldie lol 😉

This is sitting in a pile next to my bed. Been meaning to read it forever. But…I just started her book The Raven Boys and I’m loving it so far. 🙂

I know! I can’t wait to read the Shiver series. Though I have so many books I want to get to. There’s one that looks amazing and is taunting me from my TBR pile: Guardians of the Sky. Though I can’t quite remember the author. *taps chin* Who is that? 😉 ❤

I’ve been told to read Maggie, I was trying to read the Scorpio races but it was a smidge slow. Perhaps I should try again… This sound awesome love a wolf story

Maggie Stiefvater is one of my favorite writers, EVER. She’s who I want to be when I grow up! I love this Shiver series. It’s a sweet, unusual take on werewolves, and utterly beautifully written. But even more, I loved her stand-alone book, The Scorpio Races! So beautifully wrought and so scary, in parts, while pulling in everything you want in the story of a pair of young lovers. And don’t even get me started on The Raven Boys! I devoured the first two, and have the last two waiting for me. Somehow, I’ve postponed starting them, because I know I’m going to want to swallow them up, one right after the other, and not come back to the real world until I’ve had time to digest every, beautiful bite.
OMG. Maggie Stiefvater. So young to be so good!
