My Review:
It’s no secret that I’m a huge YA fan, although I tend to stick with dark fantasy rather than romance or contemporary, but when a book wins a ton of awards (YA Book Prize, Carnegie Medal, CBI Book of the Year, and Clippa Poetry Award) then it’s enough to entice me over to the pink and fluffy side.
I’ve never read a book written in free verse before and my initial reaction upon opening the first page was slight panic. However, by the end of that same page, my worries ceased to exist, and I was swept away in the story.
I can honestly say this is one of the most beautiful books I’ve ever read. I worried that the setup might jar my reading enjoyment but the story flowed perfectly, and I found that it had a greater impact on me.
Told from the point of view of Grace, one-half of the conjoined twins, she takes us on a journey which encapsulates their innocent teenage lives, loves, and heartaches. There are a few unanswered threads, such as Dragon’s story, but not knowing her outcome didn’t detract from my satisfaction.
I read this in one sitting, unable to put it down as I got lost in the love of two very different sisters who ache for a normal existence. Tears were shed – LOTS of tears in fact, but that won’t stop me from recommending this book to everyone I meet.

Blurb:
Grace and Tippi don’t like being stared and sneered at, but they’re used to it. They’re conjoined twins – united in blood and bone.
What they want is to be looked at in turn, like they truly are two people. They want real friends. And what about love?
But a heart-wrenching decision lies ahead for Tippi and Grace. One that could change their lives more than they ever asked for…
This moving and beautifully crafted novel about identity, sisterhood and love ultimately asks one question: what does it mean to want and have a soulmate?
