#CoverReveal for Oath Breaker #YA #Werewolf Novel

It doesn’t matter how many times you release a book the cover reveal is always an exciting affair. That first glimpse of how the designer interpreted your words, the anticipation of seeing it on a bookshelf, and the fear that you actually might not like it all wrestle for room in your already overcrowded brain.

I have total faith in the design team at BHC Press and so when my phone pings with a notification telling me ‘it’s ready’ I get goose bumps. I dash over to my computer and wait for the messages to trickle in. You see, my fabulous publisher loves to draw out the suspense with some ‘tried this, tried that, changed this, changed that’ messages first, by which time I have no fingernails left! Then, when I think I might burst from excitement the image loads…

The thing with covers is the ability they have to get a true and immediate reaction. Think about the times you’ve scrolled through the thumbnail images on Amazon and then stopped when a beautiful cover jumps out at you. It hooks you, and you have to click on the tiny picture just to be able to zoom in and marvel at the wonder of such a stunning design.

When the cover for my new YA novel loaded on my screen, I sucked in my breath. First impressions are everything, and I was blown away by the atmospheric design, the muted colours, and the clever addition of fangs beneath the title wording. It was everything I could have hoped for and more.

My daughter was with me when I opened the image, and as the book is aimed at her age bracket (13+), I was delighted to hear the soft ‘oh wow’ from over my shoulder. Mission accomplished!

So, here it is. The cover for Oath Breaker out now via BHC Press.

Book Blurb:

Will she follow the pack…

Or will she destroy them?

A dead mother.

A violent father.

A missing brother.

When Mia’s father is murdered, it’s her estranged uncle that comes to the rescue, but what he offers her in return for his help could be worse than the life she is leaving behind.

Taken to Hood Academy, a unique school deep in the forest, she discovers friendships, love, and the courage to stand on her own.

As she trains hard, Mia takes the oath that seals her future as a werewolf hunter, but not everyone wants Mia to succeed.

Screams in the night. Secret rooms. Hidden letters. Mia becomes an important piece in a game she doesn’t want to play.

Will the truth set her free, or will it destroy her?
