My Review:
Anything that promises to help harmonise my world, free myself of judgement, and inspire me to live life on my own terms was always going to make it onto my must-read list.
The Unfakeable Code is no exception. Selimi delivers a fully rounded approach to life from a personal and professional aspect. As a fan of holistic living, this book was a delight to read.
I know my limiting beliefs come from my childhood and school years, but reading about the levels of thinking has helped me understand this better.
‘Your brain uses old programming that was developed by others over a lifetime…
As a result, you may consciously or unconsciously believe and say to yourself or others things like ‘I can’t do this’.
Negative self-talk is a biggie for me, and I make a conscious effort to stop the inner chatter whenever possible. Selimi reveals a few fascinating statistics, including ‘the average person has about 12,000 to 70,000 thoughts per day. And, of those, 80% are negative, and 95% are the same repetitive thoughts as the day before.’
As a single mum and business owner, I find it too easy to slip into the process of giving my power away to everyone else and never leaving enough back for myself. The advice and guidance the author provides has helped me recognise my worth. I’m not saying I’m fixed, but this book will stay close to hand for many years to come.
Unlearning the processes that have been with us since childhood can feel overwhelming, but the journey feels achievable through the five principles laid out in this book. As with all personal development books, the methods don’t work unless you put in the time and effort.
If you’ve been flailing about in life and need to feel more grounded, I’d recommend The Unfakeable Code.

Nice review. I tend to avoid self-help books, because all they seem to do is help the author make money!
