I created the Friday Book Share Game to help search for that ideal novel/author.
Anyone can have a go – all you need to do is answer the following questions based on a book you enjoyed reading and use the hashtag #FridayBookShare
First line of the book.
Recruit fans by adding the book blurb.
Introduce the main character using only three words.
Delightful design (add the cover image of the book).
Audience appeal (who would enjoy reading this book?)
Your favourite line/scene.
Here’s mine:
I love all the stories in this anthology but for today’s Friday Book Share I’ve chosen one story from author, Marissa Ames called The Dark Spot.
First line – The dark, oily spot never faded from the floorboards.
Recruit fans by adding the book blurb –
Ghosts, goblins, and ghouls creep through pages of spooky flash fiction. Discover critically acclaimed authors who will make your skin shiver and have you flinching at bumps in the night. Whenever the mood strikes for something creepy, this collection will leave you looking over your shoulder.
50 Talented Authors…
50 Spine-Tingling Tales…
50 Reasons to Leave the Lights On.
Introduce the main character – There are 50 main characters in this anthology and they are all either chilling, ghostly, or horrific!
Delightful Design –
Audience appeal – Perfect for fans of fantasy, horror, ghost stories and flash fiction/short stories.
Your favourite line/scene –
Charlotte circled the spot, her wispy gown fluttering against the wood. Her bare feet floated just above the surface, never leaving tracks in the dust. Charlotte circled this spot as the sun rose through the frosted, cracked windows. She circled it as the inky night blotted out the room.
The Entity watched her from the far corner, where the sunlight never beamed.
BUY a copy of In Creeps the Night from Amazon UK or Amazon US.
Next up on the BIG BLUE TAKEOVER is author, Jean Booth.
Thank you for creating this tag! I decided to tag along with a post of my own 🙂 maybe I will keep the tradition and do #FridayBookShare every Friday!
