Title: Hoglets’ Christmas Magic

Author: Lynette Creswell

Category: Children’s Book

My Rating: 5 Star

Book Blurb

It’s Christmas Eve with the hoglets.

Prickles and Primrose are excited. That is until… As they decorate the Christmas tree they discover the star for the top has shattered. Not to be defeated – the brave hoglets set out into the woods to seek a substitute star but stumble across Santa instead.

What adventure will they encounter?

AND… what about the star?

If you love Winnie the Pooh you’ll fall in love with the hoglets, Prickles and Primrose, from Briar Wood.

My Review:

Who doesn’t love a heart-warming Christmas tale? It’s a fair few years since I bought a children’s Christmas book as my own kids are grown up now, but it’s only as I read Hoglets’ Christmas Magic that I realised how much I missed them.

The author creates a beautiful story with delightful little characters. The themes include being helpful and caring, and there are stunning illustrations to accompany the text and delight the reader.

Prickles and Primrose are hoglet siblings who go off in search of a new star for their Christmas tree. When they come across a somewhat flustered Father Christmas looking for a lost toy, the two tiny hoglets decide to help.

I’d say this title would be perfect for a confident young reader or for a family treat to read on Christmas Eve.

I highly recommend it.

I received a copy of Hoglets’ Christmas Magic from the author in exchange for an honest review.
